Blend Bright Lights began like many great founder stories—right in the garage of two friends on the outskirts of Kelowna, BC. In the fall of 2017, Andrew, from Canada, and Alec, originally from the USA, were frustrated with the annual ritual of climbing ladders to hang and take down Christmas lights. After Alec’s wife requested even more lights that year, the two realized there had to be a better solution. With a combined 20 years of experience in door-to-door sales and home services, they knew they had the skills to make it happen.

They set out to create a permanent, high-quality lighting system that would eliminate the hassle of installation and removal, all while bringing beauty to any home. Their goal was simple: design a system that homeowners could enjoy year-round. What began as a personal project quickly caught the attention of their neighbors, who were eager to know how they could get the same setup.

Seeing the growing demand, Andrew and Alec decided to take the leap and turn Blend Bright Lights into a full-time business. Five years later, their leadership team—made up of talented friends and collaborators—brings decades of expertise in sales and home services, helping the company grow and bringing their innovative lighting solutions to homes across North America.In 2023, Blend Bright Lights moved into a new 15,000 sq ft facility to meet growing demand, and has a footprint spanning most of Canada and the United States. We have been a people-first company since the beginning, and we are incredibly proud of the team we have built and the lives we have touched while fulfilling our mission of bringing joy through light.
